THE ALDERTON INFANT AND JUNIOR SCHOOLS

32 hours per week - 7:30am start

Pro rata - FTE £19,300 including Fringe(annual salary increase pending)

1 Year Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a hardworking, organised and proactive Assistant Caretaker to join our extensive site and friendly schools. It is essential that the successful candidate is able to liaise with our Site Manager. We are looking for someone who is or can be:

  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Keyholder including locking and unlocking
  • Has a sense of pride in the job and our beautiful site
  • Enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude
  • A good communicator and work well in our friendly team
  • Professional, with a respectful attitude
  • Flexible and able to manage time and workload effectively
  • Has good reading and writing skillls
  • Able to "roll up their sleeves" and get involved in day to day general maintenance, care of the site, porterage, DIY, decorating and cleaning
  • A clear understanding of health and safety and site security requirements
  • Willingness to work additional hours eg to cover fund raising events, parent evenings and goernor meetings

We are part of The Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of fifteen Primary and one Special School all based in the Epping Forest District. Along with our SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training), School Improvement Team, Well-being Service and Resourced Provisions based in three of our schools, we are a leading educational organisation in Epping Forest.

EFSPT was formed in 2018 from a consortium of schools that had worked together for over 20 years, and are committed to collaborative working to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and school communities.
