We are delighted to have the opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Tutor to join our friendly and dynamic team at The Yellow House School. We would like someone with experience in Woodworking or ICT (preferably both!)
You will be required to deliver the highest quality of education, care and preparation for life for all students, both in our Schools in Clare and Sible Hedingham and at our Therapeutic allotment and forest sites in Clare. Furthermore, you must be able to contribute to the whole school's planning of activities - with an emphasis on delivering the curriculum through woodwork or ICT skills. The outdoors is a crucial part of the teaching and learning, so enthusiasm for working on an allotment would also be beneficial, but not essential.
Having a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring even the most challenging of minds is a must and previous experience of working with students on the Autistic Spectrum, or young people with Special Educational Needs, or Specific Learning Difficulties would be advantageous; having fun through learning is vital for our students and an outside the box mentality is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
Start Date: This position is to start as soon as possible.
Salary: £18490.00 to £21,000.00 /year depending on qualifications and experience
Experience:
tutoring/teaching: 2 years minumum (Desirable)
Outdoor Education : 3 years (Desirable)
Licence: Full, UK, Driving Licence (Required)

The Yellow House is a very small and well-resourced specialist school for just 15 – 20 pupils with social and emotional needs. We have a wonderful team of tutors with a therapeutic outlook who aspire to support our pupils through both their emotional needs and academic studies.
