We are looking to appoint a learning support assistant to join our happy and hardworking team. This role will provide one-to-one support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities or social and emotional difficulties and will initially be based in our Reception class. This is not currently a class based LSA role and is likely to interest candidates who enjoy working with children who face considerable challenges with either their learning or managing their behaviour.

We require a member of staff who is flexible as the role will change according to the needs of the school. Interest is particularly welcome from applicants who have experience of working with children and an understanding of positive behaviour management strategies.

Suitable candidates are likely to be able to motivate and encourage children to achieve their best whilst supporting their wellbeing. A good standard of English and Mathematics is essential as is a caring and enthusiastic nature.

This is a temporary position and the successful candidate will be offered a one year contract.

To apply please go to www.essexschoolsjobs.co.uk and complete the online application form.
