Cover Supervisor

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to undertake the delivery of high quality lessons across the academy, in the event that a member of teaching staff is absent. This role requires the delivery of pre-planned lessons provided by the teacher or Team Leader. Cover supervisors are required to deliver small group or one-to-one academic support to students, team teach in a supportive role when required and to assist with individual Academy support which may involve academic administrative tasks in addition to being on call and helping with behaviour support.

The ideal candidate would be someone with a track record of work with young people and someone wishing to start a career in teaching or student support. This is a great opportunity to gain classroom experience. In addition, this role would suit someone with previous teaching experience, looking to get back into the profession or to take a change in role. A dedication to delivering high quality lessons, a skill for working in a supportive role and an aptitude for organisation are the qualities we require in a successful candidate.

Colchester Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school situated in Colchester, Essex. Colchester Academy first opened in September 2010 and boasts a state of the art building with modern design and a wealth of technology.
