Making the transition from industry to education is something that many of our Electrical teaching staff have successfully achieved and it's their experience and skill that continues to challenge and inspire students. Why not join them?
The Electrical team offer City and Guilds full time programmes and apprenticeships in Domestic Installation and Maintenance covering the knowledge and practical skills needed to be an Electrician. The programmes are designed to engage and motivate learners interested in becoming an Electrician by supporting them with both theoretical and practical projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations.
A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical OR a degree (or equivalent) is essential, however you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.
The successful candidate can expect the College to fund any training required for the role, investment in their professional development, opportunities to further your career as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an excellent Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme)
