Canvey Island Infant School has a new Headteacher and we are looking to recruit a Deputy to work alongside her to drive the school forward.
We like to think our school is rather special, understandably, and we're not the only ones who think so. Ofsted has rated the school 'good' since Ofsted began and gave us a glowing report in 2019.
We pride ourselves on our imaginative curriculum and vibrant learning environment that reflects the very caring nature of the school. This is evident in the behaviour of our children who are kind, caring, thoughtful and who thoroughly enjoy coming to school. We are proud to call ourselves an 'inclusive' school, where everyone works hard to ensure that pupils, whatever their starting point, receive stimulating learning experiences. There is a tangible sense of team spirit that permeates the school and the enrichment activities encourage learning, which is evident in the children's personal development and achievement.
Along with your proven track record of leadership abilities you'll also be inspired, motivated and completely committed to ensuring all our children achieve their potential. In order to carry out the varied and rewarding work that you'll do, you'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, lots of imagination and commitment, and a genuine passion for teaching. A good knowledge of all aspects of Pupil Premium will be an advantage.
Although this is a full time position, you will be required to teach in class as part of a job share arrangement.
