Advert-Business Manager-1 Year Fixed Term Contract
· Job Description: Business Manager HILT-Fixed Term-1 year in the first instance.
· Post type: Fixed Term-1 year in the first instance
· Start Date-As early as possible in the new academic year-September/October 2020.
· Hours-2 days per week-or equivalent. With occasional evening work.
· Car driver essential.
· Salary: Pay Scale-New Essex LG Scale 9. Point 29 - 33.
· Full time salary is between £32,910 - £36,922 plus £626 fringe-pro-rata
· Pro-Rata- £13,164-£14,768
· 16 Hours per week. (Flexible) Possible overtime.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the HILT Trust for a fixed term Business Manager.
Scope of the role.
Over recent years UK schools have experienced savage budget cuts. Whilst trying to maintain the quality of education for children in the schools of the trust, further savings must be made. A successful candidate will be expected:
Ø To pay a full and active part in the School Leadership Team with specific responsibility for leading and developing support services at the school and ensuring that appropriate support for teaching and learning is in place.
Ø To work closely with the Finance Manager
Ø To make significant financial savings across the trust whist maintaining a high quality of education.
Ø To streamline the finances of the trust
Ø To ensure that finances are in line with DFE guidance
Ø To ensure best value at all times
Ø To use the DFE Schools Financial Efficiency Metric Tool to compare HILT with other trusts
Ø To use the National Framework to reduce costs
Ø To make significantly more savings to HILT than the cost of Business Manager salary.
Ø To meet regularly (at least monthly) with CEO, Head Teachers, Governors to update on progress towards meeting cost reduction targets.

Harlow Inspirational Learning Trust
The Henry Moore Primary School opened in September 2001. The school became an Academy MAT in November 2015 and a Sponsor in March 2016. It is the founding member of Harlow Inspirational Learning Trust. Milwards Primary School and Nursery in Harlow joined the MAT in July 2017.
Henry Moore School has 570 children on role and 94 members of staff
The Henry Moore School has been well-maintained over the years and re-modelled many times. There are nineteen classes; five are located in demountables. As well as the classrooms there are six offices, a computer suite, library, food technology room and two halls, one of which accommodates a breakfast and after school club.
The field is astro turf and is used year round for playtimes and sport. There is high fencing around the school and the site and school are accessed via electronic doors and gates. The governing body has made a commitment to modify the school where and when necessary to meet the specific needs of pupils.
