An exciting new job opportunity within our Student Support Department to co-ordinate a range of services to meet the increasing needs of our student body. The College is looking to appoint 2 Student Support Co-coordinators to support a new provision being delivered by NELFT and also working with existing partners to enable effective delivery of any external opportunities.
The post-holders will work within the busy Student Support Team and will need to be highly organised, confident, able to demonstrate ability in working in a challenging environment and receptive to building on their skills to deliver a positive experience for our students.
These jobs are being offered as part of the government's "Kickstart" scheme, aimed at creating new high-quality jobs to help 16-24-year-old unemployed people on Universal Credit take on new jobs. This will consist of a minimum of 25 hours work per week, paid at the National Minimum Wage (NMW) on a 6 month contract. Kickstart participants will be provided with training and support towards finding a permanent job to boost their prospects as professionals.
The College is committed to equality and diversity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share these commitments. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
