We are seeking to appoint a School Finance Officer to come and join our friendly, helpful staff team. Key aspects of this role include:
1. Working with the Headteacher and Consortium Business Manager.
2. Running budgets, including school catering trading accounts and school fund.
3. With Support, ensuring all finance and personnel compliance is met.
4. Securing effective processing and recording of personnel matters such as DBS checks, training and contracts.

The successful candidate will receive support from the headteacher and from the Consortium Business Manager. There will be a good handover of role from the present incumbent, who is retiring. This support includes all training and professional development necessary. This post is for a September 2020 start. There is some flexibility with hours and weeks to be worked so that the equivalent of the following is fulfilled:
32.5 hours a week, (term time plus 2 weeks)
Pay 2020 Scale 6 - points 12 - 17 - £21,589 - 23,836 (pro rata £16,912.04 - £18,672)
The exact working pattern will be agreed on appointment, with the successful candidate.

Lawford Primary school is in the village of Lawford, situated ten minutes by car to the North East of Colchester. It is expanding year on year to support the growing needs of the local community and the ongoing building development.
