We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator to join our team at Kelvedon Hatch CP School. Your role will be to provide comprehensive administrative and front of house support service for our busy and vibrant school. This post is for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12noon to 4pm for 40 weeks (term-time, plus 1 week and INSET days). This is a permanant position.

You will join an experienced and supportive team of staff and will work with friendly and caring children and parents.

This is an important position in our school and to be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively, work under pressure and maintain positive relationships with all members of the school community. You will also have the ability to adapt to the ever-changing priorities and demands of the school office whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy, manage sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.

The position is varied but the main duties include a focus on managing reception and providing an effective and efficient clerical and welfare support to the school including some finance.

The successful candidate will need to understand the importance and significance of safeguarding and confidentiality and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good IT, Literacy, organisational and administration skills are essential for the successful candidate to be effective in this role.

Previous experience of working within schools and an understanding of SIMS, ParentPay and ParentMail, would be an advantage. You should have a minimum of English and Mathematics at GCSE grade C or equivalent.
