Due to two key members of the Trust taking early retirement this summer, Templefields MAT has taken the opportunity to restructure and streamline its business model. To achieve this, we are now looking for the following new staff to join our friendly team:
Based at Harlowbury Primary School
5 days per week x 52.14 weeks per year (including holiday entitlement)
NJC pay range 4-5
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the school site by carrying out a range of caretaking duties, including security and supervision of the site and related equipment, porterage, cleaning and maintenance.
You will report to the MAT Site Manager (based at Tany's Dell School) as well as Harlowbury's Headteacher. As part of your duties you will also be required to supervise a small team of cleaners.
Ideally you should live locally to Harlowbury School as you will be required to respond to calls outside normal working hours to attend a security alarm call out. It is also expected that, with reasonable notice, you will be available to undertake the supervision of lettings at Harlowbury School, as well as other schools within the MAT in the absence of their caretakers.
Experience of caretaking or buildings maintenance and security is desirable, as well as the ability to undertake DIY tasks to a high and safe level. A good standard of English and Maths is essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. TMAT uses online software, Parago, for site management, such as maintenance logs, contracts and H&S, so you must have IT/Smart phone confidence. Full training in the use of this software will be provided.
We need someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, a can-do attitude and the ability work effectively as part of a small team, whilst leading by example. You must be willing to take direction as well as working with little supervision. You will need access to your own transport to travel between sites within the Multi-Academy Trust.
