Whole School Literacy Coordinator and Teacher of English - Required September 2020

Salary: MPR/UPR plus TLR2a

De La Salle School and Language College is a thriving, oversubscribed, fully comprehensive and inclusive 11-16 school.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our successful and dynamic English team and have specific responsibility for Literacy across the school. This role is central to subject literacy and therefore achievement across all subjects and in all years.

The successful candidate will:

· be an inspirational classroom practitioner

· have excellent subject knowledge

· lead, develop and monitor literacy across the curriculum

· be proactive in the implementation of cutting edge ideas and practices

· be accountable for the development and implementation of the whole school literacy policy within subject curriculum.

· be dedicated to raising levels of achievement

· have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
