PA TO HEADTEACHER
Required as soon as possible

Full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm

LGS point 29 within the range 29-33

Actual salary £32,638 to £35,394 pa

(Includes outer fringe allowance)

The postholder will be responsible for providing full administrative and secretarial support to the Headteacher in an efficient and effective manner, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

You will need to have the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently, be able to deal with competing priorities and able to show a calm and professional attitude at all times.

St Martin's School is a large co-educational comprehensive school located in Hutton, Brentwood. The school benefits from a pleasant semi-rural environment with agricultural land to the rear. The school, which also includes a large sixth form block, is situated on an open, attractive 30 acre site. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. Hutton is five miles from the M25 and 19 miles from London, which is easily reached by road or train (25 minutes to Liverpool Street Station).

This is a large, but friendly school in which all staff are helped to develop their talents. This is supported by an extensive and wide ranging in-house continual professional development programme (CPD). We have high quality mentoring and induction programmes for staff with excellent opportunities for training and professional development.

  • 2022 - 79% of students achieved grades 9-4 in both GCSE English and Maths and ALPS 3 progress in the sixth form
