Band 2 point 3 £12,107 pa (£18,065 FTE, 936 per hour)

Rayne Primary School are looking to appoint a specialised support worker familiar with the principles of ABA to work for 30 hours per week 6 hrs per day with a pupil at our friendly school. Applicant requirements:

Reliable, committed and enthusiastic tutor to support a pupil with autism in a mainstream school.

Experience with working with pupils with autism in delivering programs based on principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis is a requirement.

Must be able to motivate the learner and be enthusiastic in play and in maximize learning opportunities in everyday situations.

Follow the data collection methods in order to track and monitor progress.

Model appropriate social and communication skills.

Must be able to work as part of a school team and liaise with parents.

Need to exercise confidentiality.

Provide 1:1 support on the individualized program as well as support the pupil in small group and class-based activities.

Ongoing in the moment hands on training will be provided and the tutor will need to be motivated to learn and to be able to take instruction from the BCBA and school staff and deliver the recommended program and individualised effective teaching procedures.

Participate in regular review meetings with the current support team.
