The Careers Advice Zone service plays a crucial role in helping students to recognise & enhance their skills and achieve their next steps on their career pathway. We support students with advice on a variety of career options, including progression opportunities in Further Education, Higher Education, Voluntary work and finding Apprenticeship opportunities.

In this role you will work as part of a team to assist in the coordination and delivery of a range of careers and employability activities and events. You will provide high quality and responsive services to students, staff and public careers enquiries.

You will assist and signpost students seeking careers support and information, on our college offer and help with Higher Education and Apprenticeship applications. You will contribute to running a programme of events to improve access to opportunities, enhance student aspiration and increase access to career networks.

About You

You'll be proactive and enthusiastic, ensuring that the support and information given is tailored to meet the needs of students for their future careers. You will also have:

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive and effective working relationships.

Work experience that has involved assisting in a variety of activities and projects with limited supervision and within set deadlines.

Ability to identify client need, provide effective information and support and to signpost efficiently.
