Senior Tutor in Performing Arts (Acting and Musical Theatre)
Salary: Qualified teacher status up to £38,534 per annum
Unqualified teacher status up to £33,311 per annum
Located in Harlow
Full time (37 hours per week)
Fixed Term Maternity cover until June 2021
About the team
The team are passionate, creative and versatile about providing students a broad experience and understanding of performing arts and preparing them for the reality of working in the sector.
As a flexible, creative and pro-active professional you'll be expected to use a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning initiatives that engage, motivate and enable all learners to make significant progress from their starting points. You will also be working to address individual learning needs, overcome barriers to learning and encourage autonomous learning. Utilising digital technology into delivery is the norm, ensuring broader contextualisation is covered.
What we are looking for We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher who will be able to teach across levels 1-4 (including HE Diploma) a range of acting genres and musical theatre techniques including singing and dance. Industry based experience and knowledge is preferred offering a breadth of skills across all the arts, including production.
The successful candidate will have a Degree and/or a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a performing arts discipline as well as the willingness, if required to undertake a teaching qualification if not already held.
