Message from Damian Lee, Head of Academy

This is an exciting time to be joining the Academy. We have built on the success of our Good OFSTED rating last year and have seen great improvements in the quality of teaching and learning throughout all areas of the school. This was confirmed in 2019 by our best ever results with English and Maths securing 76% of their students a grade 4 or above, making us one of the most improved schools in the country.

Over the last 4 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers with number of students on roll more than doubling. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high staff retention rates. Staff development is a priority with an extensive and hugely successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program to further develop our excellent staff.

If you are looking at roles at New Rickstones Academy I would strongly encourage you to arrange a visit to see the academy for yourself.

Staff benefits include: BHSF Cash Health Plan Network Benefits (discounts at high street and online retailers) Pension Scheme (Local Government / Teachers Pensions) Discounted membership at local leisure centres/gyms Modern, state of the art building with fantastic facilities Restaurant (catering by CucinA) Free tea and coffee Free car parking

As an Investors in People organisation staff development is a high priority and we offer a flexible professional development programme for both teaching staff and support staff.
