We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team (1 year temporary contract initially, term time + 5 days of INSET, 31 hours per week Monday to Friday, £14,421- £15,610 p.a)

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be prepared to assist pupils on an individual basis as well as in small groups or a classroom environment. A good level of English, Maths and ICT skills is essential.

The successful candidates will ideally have:-

Experience of supporting pupils with complex needs at Key Stages 3/ 4
A caring, patient nature
The ability to be flexible
The ability to work well within a team and independently

St Nicholas School is an academy special school, situated in Southend-on-Sea, which is part of the SEN Trust Southend. The school offers a quality, inclusive education for secondary aged students (11-16). Our students all have a range of learning needs and enter the school with a statement of Educational Needs, or an Educational Health & Care Plan.
