Post 16 Team Leader

Salary - MPS/UPS (fringe) plus TLR2c (£6,829) plus SEN 1

Contract type - permanent - required Summer Term 2020

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Leader who wants to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, innovative, creative and flexible Leader with the highest expectations for our young people to support them to achieve outstanding outcomes in preparation for adult life.

We are a 4 times outstanding Academy for pupils with SLD and PMLD aged 2-19, where 'achievement has no boundaries'. We are very proud that we have recently been inspected under the new Ofsted framework and continued to be judged as "Outstanding"

Our Post 16 students are based on a separate site in Grays and the team leader has day to day responsibility for this provision. We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of achieving the best for our students and families as they move towards leaving school and is able to work closely with professionals from other agencies including social care and health to achieve this.

As a Teaching School, we have a first-rate package of bespoke continual professional development and an excellent track record of talent management. Experience of working and leading in an SLD and PMLD setting is preferred, however specialist support and training will be provided for exceptional aspiring leaders who wish to join us from other settings.

If you are excited by the challenge of making a real difference to students and their families at a critical point in their school like and want to join us on our journey beyond outstanding please contact us at the details below for an application pack.

We welcome visits to the school. Our students and staff look forward to meeting you.

The Board of Trustees is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share the commitment. Appointments will be subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and a positive enhanced DBS disclosure.
