Caretaker with Lettings - Required as soon as possible

LGS Band 2 Points 3-6 depending on experience

Actual Salary £18,065- £19,171 per annum Plus Outer Fringe Allowance £609 per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Monday 2.45pm to 9.45pm

Tuesday 3pm to 10pm

Wednesday 2pm to 9pm

Thursday 1pm to 8pm

Friday 10.45am to 6pm

Plus alternate Saturdays 8.30am to 5.30pm

Hours subject to change during school closure periods and according to school lettings.

An enthusiastic, reliable and practical person is required to join our friendly and professional site team at this large secondary school. You must have an aptitude for cleaning, maintenance tasks, be able to work on your own initiative and be able to follow instructions. Key duties will include after hours lettings, site security, caretaking, cleaning, minor repairs and general maintenance duties. You will need to be in good health due to the physical nature of some of the work and have a flexible approach.

Previous experience in a similar position would be beneficial. Qualifications or experience in a trade (electrical, plumbing, building) would also be desirable.

Our school is making rapid progress since its inspection in November 2022. A recent review by the Local Authority commented on the ‘sea change’ noted in students’ behaviour and the culture and ethos of the school. Our 2023 outcomes were the best set of Key Stage 4 results achieved by Year 11 students since 2016. Our Year 7 intake continues to be oversubscribed, with a waiting list.
