Fixed Term Early Years Key Worker for Hilltots at Hilltop Infant School (maternity cover)

  • 19 hours per week, term time plus 5 non-pupil days
  • Monday: 8.45am - 12.45pm
  • Tuesday - Friday: 9am - 12.45pm

Salary depending on qualifications and experience: Level 2 qualified £7841, Level 3 qualified £8147 (FTE £17,364 and £18,065 respectively + £609 outer fringe)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly and committed team at our recently opened pre-school. Hilltots is an integral part of Hilltop Infant School, an outstanding school in Wickford. The Hilltop Schools are part of The HEARTS Academy Trust which is based in Wickford. We seek to appoint a qualified Early Years Key Worker to work for 19 hours a week, term time only plus staff training days. Our fully qualified staff maintains a high professional standard at all times and demonstrates a caring attitude, allowing the children and their families to feel at home. Hilltots Pre-school is set within the grounds of Hilltop Infant and Junior Schools and has its own secure, designated building with child friendly indoor and outdoor play areas. The children here learn through play and exploration, we believe a fun and exciting environment is key to their future success. We follow a child led approach and give children the opportunity to play and explore within a safe and caring environment with the support of our experienced practitioners. We support and prepare our children through important transitions, such as starting school. This role will cover morning sessions at Hilltots followed by lunchtime with a group of pre-school children in the school itself.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working. In return we offer the support of the school and Trust staff and a range of CPD opportunities.
