Part time temporary absence cover up to 0.51 fte
Pro rata salary based on Sixth Form College's Pay Scale in a range up to £39,329 pa dependant on skills, qualification and experience
We require a Sociology teacher to provide absence cover from January 2020 working as part of a large team at this highly successful sixth form college. You will be provided with support and guidance including study packs and course material etc to facilitate a smooth transition to working with our highly motivated students.
Ideally, we need cover for three days from Wednesday to Friday on a 0.51 fte basis however we would be interested in hearing from you if you are able to offer more or less time as we may be able to vary the timetable to suit individual needs. Cover may be required until May 2020 but could be for a shorter period.
The successful applicant should have a good honours degree in Sociology or a related subject and ideally a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and/or experience of teaching or lecturing at A level.
Applicants should be hardworking and enthusiastic. They should have an interest in and focus upon fostering the learning and ensuring the success of 16-18 year old students. A high level of integrity is required.
