We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our dedicated and hardworking team to support pupils with complex needs. Experience of working with children who are have ASD or who have Communication and Language needs is essential to this post. It is also desirable, but not essential, for the candidate to have British Sign Language Level 1.
Suitable applicants will need to be able to work as part of a team following a structured programme of learning. Applicants should be organised and show initiative and flexibility, be patient and understand the confidential nature of this role.
The post involves working across all age ranges, supporting children in their learning, delivering small group work or individual work depending on the pupil's needs.
The successful candidate must have GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or an equivalent qualification.
You will be working 25 hours per week from 9.00am - 3.00pm, Monday to Friday for 38 weeks per year.

We have seven main classrooms, a Nursery and an enhanced provision for the teaching of Hearing Impaired Children
The enhanced provision has 18 places and caters for statemented/Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP) severe/profoundly deaf children from across the whole of North East Essex
The Nursery has places for 26 part-time pupils and they are involved in the social life of the school, helping them experience a very successful transition to our reception class in the mainstream school.
The school is situated in the south of the town, easily accessible from the A12.
