HLTA 32.5 hours per week (8:30-4pm) Required January or April 2020
At Great Dunmow Primary School, the Governors are looking to employ a highly motivated and dedicated classroom practitioner with excellent organisational skills and a good rapport with children to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). Your role will include delivering lessons that are planned by and with the Class Teacher, supporting Teachers and working with groups of children. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.
We are looking for someone who has:
¨ Been educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible a relevant HLTA training qualification
¨ A caring and sensitive approach
¨ A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour
¨ Good communication skills, patience and being motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability
¨ A commitment to raising standards
¨ Experience of working in a Primary School and covering whole classes
You will be expected to:
¨ Take some responsibility for the progress of identified pupils
¨ Undertake training as required
¨ Use your initiative and be flexible
¨ Work in collaboration with other colleagues
