We are seeking dedicated, passionate and committed QTS/Unqualified Teachers/Tutors to provide 1-1 learning support to pupils in the local area i.e. Basildon, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Rayleigh, Colchester and Harlow, working on a supply basis as every pupil will need different amounts of hours of tutoring to meet their needs. This is a term-time only requirement, without guaranteed hours, on a Supply/Casual contract. You will be paid for your timetabled hours on an hourly basis (unless cancellation is received, along with cancellation requirements). There is a requirement to plan lessons and activities and ensure pupil progress. Travel expenses are paid.

Main Purpose of the Role

- To provide 1:1 support to pupils.
- To liaise with Pathways Co-ordinator, parents and carers and external agencies.
- To record delivery of interventions and provision provided to pupils.
- To undertake any other duties relevant to the post and under the direction of the Headteacher.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

- Responsible for creating a clear and ambitious vision for the academic achievement and raising student aspiration.
- Ensuring that as part of the Pathways team appropriate tasks relate to the specified pupil, e.g. preparation of equipment and resources.
- To develop a 1:1 supportive relationship aimed at achieving the goals described in the action plan.
-To act as a point of contact for families/carers and pupils receiving reintegration support, encouraging positive family involvement thus improving behaviour and learning.
-To carry out such duties as maybe required from time to time to meet the needs of RHA.
-To have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and to follow all associated Child Protection and Safeguarding policies as adopted by RHA.

Ramsden Hall Academy is a Residential Special School for male students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) based in Ramsden Heath, Billericay, Essex.

The Academy was judged Good at its recent Ofsted inspections and is part of the Parallel Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust and DfE approved sponsor.

The Academy works with up to 100 secondary-age and Year 6 male students who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues offering a residential provision.

The Academy aims to support all students with their specific needs and barriers to learning to enable them to reach their full potential both academically and in terms of managing their behaviour. This is achieved by providing high quality teaching and learning and by using assessment, engagement and developing educational programmes. The Academy works actively with students and their families to ensure positive outcomes for all.

Focused attention is paid to the student’s individual needs through an integrated therapeutic approach to the curriculum. The Academy works with families to put in place aspirational targets for all learners and always celebrate the achievements of students to reinforce their success and achievement.

Any of the students demonstrating the skills and attainment required to successfully reintegrate into a mainstream school will be supported in the transition. Families will also receive support and guidance on how to best work with the school to help ensure their child is successful. The Academy aims for all students to enter further education, training or employment on exit from the Academy.

Our site is both attractive and well equipped in all areas of the curriculum and is well resourced. The school is situated with 14 acres of land in Ramsden Heath, near Billericay.
