The Humanities Faculty comprises of: Geography, History, Psychology, Religious Education and Sociology.

The Faculty has teaching staff with a wide range of experience who are keen to further develop their practice to support student progress further. It has high expectations of students and uses varied and engaging teaching and learning strategies. The aim is to encourage self-motivation in students, within a supportive learning environment. Selected teaching staff have additional responsibilities, for example, Head of Subject, Head of Faculty, 2nd in Faculty and Co-ordinator of Learning Initiatives.

At Key Stage 3, all students study Geography, History and Religious Education in Years 7, 8 and 9.

At Key Stage 4, students can choose GCSEs in Geography, History, RE and Sociology.

At Key Stage 5, A Levels are offered in Geography, History, Psychology, ReligiousStudies and Sociology.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to accept new ideas and a thorough commitment to student learning with evidence of high level of subject specialism and professional development, as well as a flexible and adaptable attitude to meet the needs of the school. We want staff with the vision and determination to ensure all our students receive a first class education and who will rise to the challenge of building on success.
