Class Teacher

Salary - MS/UPS inc. fringe allowance + SEN allowance

Contract type - permanent - required January 2020

Beacon Hill Academy is an Outstanding Academy for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. The majority of our pupils have profound and multiple learning difficulties and we do not offer places to students with a diagnosis of ASD. As a result of this very distinct cohort, the school attracts a number of out of borough pupils whose parents chose for them to join us and we are very highly regarded both locally, regionally and nationally. We have recently been a pilot school for the new Rochford assessment measures.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher who wants to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, creative and flexible teacher with the highest expectations for our children and young people. There is a highly skilled, well established staff team at Beacon Hill and although special needs experience is preferred, we are able to support the right person if they are new special education. Early years experience will also be considered favourably.

The position is for a full time teacher, however we are prepared to consider part time if you are the right candidate for us!
