HEAD OF LOWER SCHOOL
TLR 1b £9,818 (pay rise pending from 1 September 2019)
The Sandon School is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive of 1260 students with an excellent reputation in the local area. We have superb facilities and view ourselves as an innovative teaching and learning community. The school is situated close to the A12 on the east side of Chelmsford within easy reach of Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend and Brentwood and has good public transport links.
We require from January 2020 a Head of Lower School, which includes responsibility for leading on Child Protection within the school. Applications are invited from someone who has a track record of successfully managing a team, has a proven ability to lead on whole school initiatives, and has experience of liaising with a wide range of professionals external to the school. The successful candidate will have credibility with colleagues, students and parents and be an excellent classroom practitioner. The capacity to prioritise, delegate and utilise support is also a key requirement.
