The Trustees of The Christus Catholic Trust are seeking to appoint:
Teaching and Learning Assistant (TLA)
Salary - Band 3 (Thurrock)
25 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2019 (This will be review termly)
Location: St Joseph's Catholic Primary, Stanford Le Hope, Essex
This is a great opportunity for an individual who:
· has a can do attitude
· is professional and reliable
· has excellent and varied behaviour management skills, specifically those relating to SEND needs
· experience of working with children who have special educational needs.
This TLA role will involve working with a child on a one to one basis and supporting small groups of pupils with a range of SEND in the primary age range from 4-11, particularly those presenting with social communication difficulties. This ideally would suit someone who has past experience of working with SEND pupils.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
· working one to one with pupils from various backgrounds and needs
· reporting daily to the class teacher and/or SEND leader
· implementing strategies and interventions recommended by outside agencies such as speech and language therapists.
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and The Christus Catholic Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks. You are required, before appointment, to disclose any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
