Casual basis - as and when required

Maltings Academy and New Rickstones Academy in Witham, Essex are graded 'Outstanding' and 'Good' by Ofsted respectively. Both have a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Staff receive discounted membership at Witham Leisure Centre.

We are recruiting a number of Reader-Scribes to join our Inclusion team across both academies. Full training will be provided.

During examinations you will read and/or scribe during for pupils with access arrangements in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Regulations.

These positions are on a casual, as and when required basis, throughout the academic year. Shifts will vary (from minimum 2 hours to all day) but you must be able to start work at 8am. All new starters are required to attend two statutory induction sessions which take place on Monday afternoons 315-430pm.

We have built on the success of our Good OFSTED rating last year and have seen great improvements in the quality of teaching and learning throughout all areas of the school.
