An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Psychology graduate to the well-established position of Psychology Intervention Manager due to the success of our current post holder gaining a place on the highly competitive MSc Mental Health: Psychological Therapies programme.

The school is looking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and creativity and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will need to be a team player who has the confidence to speak in front of members of staff and also good listening skills and empathy. It is essential that you have experience of working with children and highly desirable that you studied child development as part of your Psychology degree. Experience of solution focused approaches, research and CBT work would be ideal.

The role will include leading small CBT based session to support SEMH needs, mentoring sessions and contributing to person centered meetings. The role will involve working with a wide range of SEMH needs and also 'at risk' students. The successful candidate will work closely with the Learning Support Department, Pastoral Team and Safeguarding Leads at The Boswells School, as well as the school's Educational Psychologist and other outside agencies including EWMHS. It is expected the successful candidate will contribute to the further development of the role once in post.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Application forms are available from Mrs Maria Williams, at hr@boswells-school.com or 01245 264451.

The deadline for applications is midday on Tuesday 23rd July 2019 and interviews will take place either in that week or the start of the following week.
