Term time only 23.15 hours per week.
Salary - Band 3, points 6 - 17 depending on experience. (£10.25 - 12.57 per hour)
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and suitably experienced individual for the post of Learning Mentor to work alongside our other Learning Mentors, Family Support Team, Senior Leadership Team and teaching team, to improve learning opportunities for children across the school. This is a non-class based role.
The role will encompass all aspects of supporting behaviour, wellbeing and the learning of our pupils. Planning and running sessions for individuals and groups of children. Liaising with parents and gathering their feedback as well as the children's. This includes supporting other staff with strategies and being a first port of call for vulnerable pupils who need support managing their emotions and needs, or assistance reducing their barriers to learning and being able to flourish.
The successful candidate will be confident, flexible and efficient. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and a strong knowledge of managing children's needs and emotions and working in school settings is vital.
