We are looking to build a bank of relief staff to provide cover for our Breakfast & After School Clubs. We are looking for individuals who are confident, proactive and creative individual to work alongside our team in our breakfast and after school club. Ideally you would have some experience of working within a school, playwork or childcare setting.

The role includes supervising the children, ensuring their safety at all times, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children to optionally take part in, meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child's time at the club and food preparation. Having fun in a safe environment!

You must be passionate and enthusiastic, able to create a fun and creative working environment for children. A Level 2 or 3 qualification in play work or childcare qualification would be an advantage, but not essential. A paediatric first aid and food hygiene qualifications are desirable.

Our friendly team will support you and training will be provided.

Barnes Farm Infant School is a school for 4 -7 year old children in Chelmsford, Essex. We have a wonderful team of staff, active and informed governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy and to make exceptional progress. It is our aim to make sure that all members of our school community are supported and feel included and valued.

The children are divided into classes according to age. Children will progress through the National Curriculum on an individual basis with appropriate individual educational plans being provided for children with special educational needs and for gifted and talented pupils.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
