About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Computer Scientist to support our highly successful A Level and Apprenticeship departments.
Our A Level department deliver a wide range of A Level subjects and achieves excellent grades and value added. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor to teach the OCR specification, covering introductory topics such as computing principles, operating systems, databases and networks as well as more complex topics such as algorithms, programming techniques and problem solving.
The successful applicant will lead on the delivery and assessment of our IT Apprenticeship provision, covering apprenticeship frameworks and standards from L2 to L4. An understanding of the theory of networking principles, architecture and security and the practical application of these is required.
If you are qualified to degree level or equivalent in Computer Science with strong communication skills and a passion for teaching, this could be a perfect job for you.
· Successful delivery and assessment of A Level Computer Science and/or related apprenticeship frameworks/standards
· Experience of using a range of resources to promote learning, including digital resources
· Creative problem solving
· A teaching/assessing qualification is not essential as the College will support you in obtaining these where appropriate.
