Our happy, successful and caring school is looking for an LSA to support a named child going into year 4 who was recently granted an EHCP.
20 hours per week - (4 hours per day /five days per week). Mornings and lunchtimes. Term-time only.
You will need patience and a sympathetic, nurturing personality to support significant learning difficulties in all areas as the child functions approximately 4 years below chronological age.
You will generally follow a bespoke curriculum in literacy and numeracy to achieve an appropriate level of challenge. This will be guided by the SENCO and class teacher, but your own ideas and input will be invaluable.
Prior experience with dyslexic learners beneficial.
The ability to provide strong, nurturing yet firm rapport is essential.
You will also support in understanding social situations and in unstructured times such as lunchtime.
