Would you like to work in a school where every member of staff (from kitchen to office to classroom) passionately believe that every child should be given the best education possible? The pedagogy of social responsibility, love and respect, tolerance and creativity runs strongly through our school and is visible in every child and every adult - children have exemplary social behaviour and impressive attitudes towards learning.

Inspiring a love of learning is central to all that we do: you'll see and feel this drive the second you set foot through the door - it's contagious.

We work hard because we love what we do but we also have fun and you'll always hear laughter. We are a team in every sense of the word: we support one another to be the best we can be as we grow stronger together.

We are currently seeking a new member of our team. We are looking for a special person to support a special child in our Reception Class from September 2019: someone who is very calm, kind and has excellent skills of communication, particularly spoken. Knowledge of working with hoists will be a distinct advantage, however full training will be given. You will be expected to provide personal care for the child. From time to time, you may be required to work with the child at their home. This role is Monday to Friday from 8.30 am until 3.30pm with 30 minutes break for lunch and will be a 'Named Child Contract'.A genuine love of working with children is essential. It is desirable for you to start this contract before September to become familiar with the child and their routine.

If you have the desire to learn, have a happy disposition, and good organisational skills, we would love to hear from you.

Please take a look at our website to learn more about us. Visits to the school are encouraged.

Please contact Nina McKay, Headteacher, or Romy Barnes, Finance Manager, to book an appointment to view the school and for further information about the vacancy.

Kelvedon Hatch Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List check.
