At Shoeburyness High School, we have the most fabulous students who are supported in their aspirations by our 140 teaching staff; they have high expectations of the students and themselves. In September 2019, our roll will increase to above 1800 with over 300 students in the sixth form and so we are seeking an Assistant Headteacher with the energy, skills and charisma to lead on this most vital aspect of a school's work.

The cornerstone of our success as a school is the strength of the relationships between all stakeholders and the ideal candidate will be a natural leader of people and will fully subscribe to our inclusive ethos. Shoeburyness High School is proud to be a member of the Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT). Within the Trust, we work very closely with our primary colleagues in developing a linear 3-18 learning experience for the young people within the area and so the Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning would be expected to work with colleagues from the Trust in furthering these aims.

If you are interested in this role and feel you have the skills, qualifications and attributes needed to add value to our school, please visit www.shoeburynesshigh.co.uk/staff-vacancies for further information and our application pack.
