Following an internal promotion to our Senior Leadership team we are seeking to appoint a high quality, enthusiastic and inspiring technology specialist to lead our dedicated and already successful department. Subjects taught at KS4 are D&T, Engineering, Hospitality & Catering, Construction and at 'A' level D&T. You will have the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range as well as participate in a broad range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities. DT is a highly popular option for students and the department has a proven track record in pupil achievement at both GCSE and A level. You will enjoy working with our motivated, well-behaved pupils and with a supportive and hard-working staff in this highly respected over-subscribed 11 - 18 mixed comprehensive school.
The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, self-motivated and committed to continuing professional development. A strong classroom practitioner with and the ability to enthuse and motivate students. Previous experience of successfully leading a team of teaching professionals would be an advantage.
