Job Description

One-to-one Teaching Assistant (15 hours/Five Mornings - initially one term)

As a One-to-one Teaching Assistant, you need to be an enthusiastic and adaptable, tolerant and patient person who can support a pupil with special educational needs across the curriculum, working with small groups or within the classroom environment.

Part of the role involves working directly with departments. Good interpersonal skills, an ability to organise and maintain records and be able to work flexibly as part of an established team are essential.

Candidates must have:

· A good educational background including at least GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics

· Some experience of working with children in an educational setting

· You should also be prepared to work in partnership with the class teacher, taking direction while also using your own initiative and be firm,

kind, patient, consistent, flexible and approachable.
