TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION and HUMANITIES

St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years. We are proud of our sporting provision and offer you the opportunity to join our successful school.
We are looking for a strong candidate to work with our happy and established PE team, who will be able to teach across the key stages including GCSE Physical Education. We have a purpose built Sports Hall designed to Sport England specification and substantial well maintained, outdoor areas. The school highly values its programme of extra -curricular enrichment activities and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this.
The successful applicant will also be required to teach within our Humanities department. Currently, we offer History, Geography, RE and Citizenship up to GCSE. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to delivering one or more of these subjects.
The successful candidate must:
Be able to teach football, rugby and cricket.
Be a positive role model for all of our pupils.
Have excellent communication skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate pupils.
Be enthusiastic, a team player, self-motivated and innovative.
Be an excellent classroom practitioner who is able to engage and inspire the pupils.

This is a full time position, and subject to the completion of a successful initial probationary year, will lead to a permanent position.
