REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2019
TEACHER OF HISTORY - NQT
MPR
Beauchamps High School is seeking an aspirational, dedicated NQT of History who will inspire students to succeed in History both in the classroom and beyond. We are looking for an NQT with a genuine love for the subject and the enthusiasm and tenacity to challenge students' thinking, to teach them to think intensively and critically, and to engage them through innovative teaching practices.
The school is an 'Outstanding' school; examination results are significantly above the national average with an equally successful Sixth Form. The school offers a highly supportive environment, underpinned by a leadership team who have ambitious plans for the development of the school and who believe in promoting and praising the achievements of all; staff and students alike. Both the school and community are very much part of a family, where everyone aspires to achieve their best and beyond and where students thrive both academically and as individuals. Upon joining the school, you will receive an excellent induction programme in which to begin your career as a teacher and will be supported by a dynamic and skilled department.
In joining this team, you will be both enthusiastic and well qualified and have the drive and ambition to teach History, whilst having a firm commitment to both raising standards and to participating in extra-curricular programmes run by the department.
To apply, please download an application pack and form from the ECC vacancies website, or contact the school for a pack by phone or email. Application is by application form only - CVs will not be accepted (refer to separate "Guidance Notes for Applicants" document).
Beauchamps High School is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday 21 February 2019 at midday.
