The Philip Morant School and College wishes to appoint a Learning Support Assistant

Hours: 27.5 hours per week

Pay: LGS Band 2 to Whole Range actual salary from £10,739.68 per annum

Working Weeks:39 weeks (38 weeks' term time plus 1 week non pupil days)

To work in partnership with all school staff and other professionals to support student learning in line with the National Curriculum, Code of Practice and School Policies and Procedures and to Support students with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A good standard of education (ideally Maths/English GCSE grade A to C or equivalent);
  • Understand specific learning needs and styles and provide differentiated support to students individually and within a group;
  • Working knowledge of the education system;
  • A Good understanding of Deaf Awareness and culture;
  • British Sign Language Level 2 or equivalent knowledge would be advantageous.
