The Boswells School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time teacher of English to cover a maternity leave to start at Easter 2019 that will last until at least December 2019. We are looking for the successful candidate to deliver high quality English lessons to develop an already strong provision within our English faculty. The teaching will mainly be focused at Key Stage 3, but there may also be an opportunity to teach at Key Stage 4, dependent on ability and experience.You will be joining a school with enthusiastic and dedicated leaders at senior and middle leadership levels and a commitment to the professional development of staff. The Boswells School is keen to embrace an approach that is centred on teaching and learning and the academic attainment for our students. English is a vitally important element of our curriculum for all our students, with 80% of our students achieving a grade 4 or above in English Language last year.
The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. We constantly achieve excellent GCSE results across a vast range of subjects. Our sixth form is also thriving and results in this area are also well above both Essex and National averages.
