Temporary 1:1 Teaching Assistant (named contract)

Band: 2 point 3-10 salary £16,881 - £18,021

Actual salary: £9,800 - £10,462

Hours: 25 hours per week (negotiable)

Term time only 44.8 weeks per year


Abbots Hall Primary Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, calm person to support

a named pupil with one to one support - in small groups or within a class setting. You will be

responsible for supporting the child in meeting their set targets by working in collaboration

with other teachers and support staff.

A willingness to learn, coupled with good interpersonal skills and a desire to make a difference in the

lives of children are the main attributes required.

We are looking for someone who has:

Been educated to at least GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible hold additional qualifications/experience with working with children
A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Take some responsibility for the progress of pupils (with a focus on the named child)
Communicate effectively with parents/carers and colleagues
Undertake training as required
Keep up-to-date with changes in education relevant to your role
Work in collaboration with other colleagues.
