The Endeavour School is looking for a keen applicant to support the caretaking team by carrying out a range of caretaking duties including security and supervision of the site and related equipment, and other caretaking duties including porterage, cleaning and maintenance.

Hours per week: 20
Initial working pattern: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Working weeks per year: 52.14 weeks per year
Holiday entitlement: 4.6 weeks
School holiday working hours may be changed by negotiation.
Full time posts
The annual holiday entitlement for this post is 23 days plus bank holidays.
Annual leave is taken by arrangement with management and normally during school closure periods. Time off during term time can only be taken with permission of the school as set out in the school's leave of absence policy.
Pay
This post is paid on Pay Band 2. The full time pay range for this Band is £17,007 to £18,319 per year plus an outer fringe allowance and so the actual salary range for this part-time post will be £9,515.68 to £10,224.86 per year) (£9.13 to £9.81 per hour). These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service.
Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
Probation
All individuals new to employment with the academy/academy trust/Essex County Council will be required to satisfactorily complete a six month probationary period.
Information about the School
Endeavour Co-operative Academy is a 5 – 19 school for 172 young people, all with an EHCP. The primary need of pupils is Moderate Learning Difficulties. Our classes have, on average, 12 pupils and 1.5 Teaching Assistants. All teachers are class tutors, which involves responsibility for registration, reports and Annual Reviews for a class.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
It is an exciting time for the school, construction of the new building commenced in January 2024 and is due to be completed by September 2025 - January 2026.
