We have an exciting opportunity for you to come and work in our happy, well-managed and caring school due to the relocation of our current Pastoral Support Officer. Our staff and pupils recently worked together to try and capture our school mission: 'Nurturing growth and ambition through inspirational learning. Securing success and bright futures'.

This diverse role will involve supporting the emotional wellbeing of target pupils, monitoring attendance and working with families to ensure children attend school every day as well as being a member of our safeguarding team. In addition, you will work closely with outside agencies, such as the Children's Centre, Young Carers and Family Support Services to ensure that barriers children face in terms of their learning and wellbeing are overcome. You will be able to communicate confidently with staff, parents and professionals.

This role offers the opportunity to work with families and pupils to make a real difference to the lives of young people. We are looking for someone ambitious, committed to the best possible outcomes for our pupils who also understands the real difficulties some children face and can work creatively and decisively to overcome these. Effective time management and the ability to liaise with staff are essential. Previous experience in working with young people and families is crucial and you will have evidence of successful working with key partners, including families and professionals. A good standard of written and spoken English is also essential for this role.

If you think you have the skills and passion to make a difference to young people in Chadwell St Mary we'd love to hear from you. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
