SITE MANAGER - START JULY 2018
Band 2, Point 11-16 (£17,007 - £18,319) pro rata + Fringe / Possibly Band 3 to mid point for the right candidate
33.25 hours per week. This role will be a split shift.
Due to the pending retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking to appoint a replacement to join our friendly school team. The successful candidate will take pride in our school site both internally and externally and ensure we provide a safe, clean and pleasant environment in which our children can learn.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Honest, reliable, hardworking, self-motivated and accountable
- Good at prioritising and meeting deadlines and able to work independently whilst remaining committed to achieving high standards in their work
- Knowledgeable with high level handy-person/DIY skills and the ability to carry out general repairs and jobs competently.
- Familiar with both Health & Safety legislation and COSHH requirements
- Experienced with swimming pool management (not essential as training will be provided).
- Willing to undertake relevant training to develop their expertise.
- Able to form professional relationships with staff, parents and of course our children.
Among duties the successful candidate will undertake;
- General maintenance of school buildings and grounds
- Ensuring Health & Safety compliance
- Responsibility for security of the buildings and site as the main key holder
- Cleaning (designated areas on a daily basis) together with supervision of the cleaning team
- Decorating
- Furniture removal
- School plant operation
- Liaising with external contractors
