Office Manager

Level 7 SCP 26-33 - £ 23,866 to £ 29,909 pro-rata

37 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks (£ 21,970 to £ 27,532 actual)

We are looking to appoint an Office Manager for our large, 5 form entry, Infant and Nursery School. Hamstel Infant School and Nursery prides itself on being a child focused caring community; one in which all stakeholders views are valued. We are an inclusive, nurturing school with two Nurture bases, a DfE registered Autism Unit and a Speech and Language Base. The school has excellent facilities for Outdoor Learning and an indoor swimming pool. Hamstel Infant School and Nursery is an academy and part of the Portico Academy Trust. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly organised, professional and flexible. A good sense of humour is also a must. Experience of working in a school environment and a good working knowledge of SIMs, Excel and Word.

Main scope of the job:

To manage a comprehensive administrative organisation support service to the school.

To monitor the development and implementation of quality procedures and systems throughout the school on administrative matters to ensure that the schools needs are met and public relations are enhanced.

Responsible for the line management and performance management of the administration team.

Ensuring that all queries to the office are answered effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Acting as a personal assistant to the Headteacher and the senior leadership team, ensuring that they are kept fully informed of issues within the school.

To be responsible for the whole school calendar and annual workload schedule.

To act as communications lead for the school including the school web site management.

To oversee the admission of all pupils to the School and Nursery, ensuring the accuracy of input of pupil data into SIMs, parent communication system and production of pupil and class lists.

To manage the pupil admissions and leavers by corresponding with the local authority and parents.

To manage the input of all data into the school's management, assessment and communications systems.

To manage the Reception intake ensuring that the ranking of pupils is in accordance with the current school's PAN to prevent any ground for appeals.

To ensure all documents pertaining to the Local Governing Body are up to date and stored securely.

Ensure the security of school data is maintained at all times and is compliant with current data protection regulations including GDPR.

Assist with preparation and minute taking of senior leadership meetings and early morning meetings as required by the Headteacher.

To lead on the provision of First Aid requirements across the School and Nursery.
