Under the gooseberry bush is getting very crowded at Great Easton Primary School so we are looking for two teachers to take on maternity cover. One for either a reception/Y1 class or Y1/2 class (depending on experience) and another for a Y4/5 class. Both posts are starting in September with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Would you like to become part of our school family and strong team? We are incredibly proud of our school for so many reasons; our fabulous children make our school a very happy place to be. We have amazing and supportive families and friends, brilliant and hard-working LSAs, an energetic and committed PTA and governors who appreciate the hard-work and dedication that teachers, who go the extra mile, put in to create an extra-special school. We are constantly striving to deliver best practice in all aspects of school life.
As well as being an exceptional teacher and colleague; successful candidates will:
· Be bonkers enough to take a sponge on the face at the summer fete
· Be an animal lover - we have school dogs and chickens (and sometimes a wallaby!) who support our vulnerable children as well as being loved by all!
· Embrace technology to help create video reports as memories for our children and parents
· Own a pair of wellies as we are in the heart of the countryside
· Be up for sleepovers because for Valentine's every year, we treat the parents to a child free night by offering a whole school sleepover; and we have our own mini-festival every summer with an outdoor cinema, campfire, fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and a cup of tea brought to your tent by the Chair of Governors.
· Running gear (we always need extra people for cross country club)
· Be willing to learn how to deliver 'talk for writing'
This is an exciting opportunity for the right people to join our team and gain experience whilst making a valuable contribution to our school.
We would love the opportunity to show you our school before you apply - please feel welcome to pop in at any time. If you have any questions or would like to find out more please call for a chat.
Closing date: Monday 8th May 2017, midday. Interviews: Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th May 2017.
Great Easton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, visitors and volunteers to share in this commitment. Following safe recruitment procedures the appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance and enhanced DBS checks.
