An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Learning Support Assistants to join our enthusiastic and nurturing team.
These posts are both split mornings and afternoons as follows:
Post one:
-General class based LSA each morning
-One to one support in the afternoons for a child with an EHCP and social communication difficulties.
Post two:
-One to one support in the mornings for a child with an EHCP and social communication difficulties.
-One to one support in the afternoons for a child with SEMH difficulties.
The successful applicants are expected to:
Have GCSE A-C or above in English and Mathematics.
Have excellent communication skills.
Have experience of supporting children.
Work collaboratively with others including staff, children and parents.
Show a commitment to being inclusive of all children.
It is desirable that the successful candidate will:
Have experience or an understanding of Autism, speech, language and communication and emotional social and mental health difficulties (including attachment)
Has gained or is willing to work towards HLTA status
Has NVQ2/3 qualification in learning support

Information about the School
Gosfield Community Primary School is a small village school located in the beautiful countryside just outside Halstead. We are a 'good' school (2023) and are constantly striving to be the best we can be. We part of Attain Academy Partnership, based within Newlands Spring Primary School. Within our MAT we are linked with Newlands Springs, Rayne Primary School, Elm Hall, deVere Primary, Bocking Primary and Cressing Primary School.
We provide a cross curricular approach to learning and believe that children learn best through different experiences and through their own investigations; this learning is supported within a friendly, safe and secure environment.We are fortunate to have extensive grounds incorporating an area for forest school learning.
We benefit from a large network of supportive parents and volunteers, the FroGS (Friends of Gosfield Community Primary School) as well as enthusiastic governors that regularly visit the school.
